Meet the Owner of Xpert Medical Billing Solutions, LLC, in Temple, TX

I am the CEO & Founder of Xpert Medical Billing Solutions, LLC. I began working in healthcare as a Billing Clerk in 1997. From 2002 to 2014, I worked as a Patient Financial Counselor/Patient Access Associate for a major healthcare organization. In that position, I worked in departments such as OBGYN, Ophthalmology, Clinic Admission, Orthopedics, Lab, and the primary Business Office. I was responsible for ensuring procedures and office visits were paid for by the insurance company and collecting payments due before appointments. In Nov 2014, I decided to go to school for medical billing & coding. After finishing school in June 2015, I received my first coding credential and soon decided to get multiple credentials to become more marketable. I am currently certified through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and The American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) with a CCS, CPC, COC, and CRC. I have worked in a Coder/Auditor role since Aug 2015. I am pursuing my Bachelor's in Health Information Management, and then I will take the RHIA certification through AHIMA.  I enjoy and love the business side of healthcare, and the experience I have obtained has moved me to start my own medical billing company.
